So, the idea is that the heat from the CPU is drawn into the heatsink and carried along this metal conductor where the fan is providing a lot of convection cooling. It is possible you have a mainboard problem or cpu problem. Since I gave it that cleaning in August it's been running cool. Are there better programs out there? I don't know if anyone else has experienced that problem, but I think it's a bug at my point of view. Also check it's speed settings in the BIOS or "setup utility" area.
