If the total Power Required exceeds the Total power available for the hub, then remove a device on that hub to lower the Power Required number. I have question…..there are 2 generic USB hubs also; should I turn off power mgmt to them as well? I decided to might try the same approach for the 2.0 ports that worked for the 3.0 port: go directly to the manufacturer's (Intel's) website and get the latest drivers there. i updated the drivers in windows 10 but nothing worked.

My USB ports work fine on pen drives and mouse but not really on mobile phones and external hard drives.
